This year, which has been so difficult for all humanity because of the pandemic, the universal language of art is once again renewed, which unites cultures and brings them together in their artistic expressions. The Club for Unesco Vicenza promotes international comparison of art graphics for 2020.
With the fifth edition of Mirror - Face to face, Italian and Bulgarian artists appear side by side. The Italy-Bulgaria diptych is added to those of Italy-Macedonia (2016); Italy-Estonia (2017); Italy-Chile (2018) and Italy-Portugal (2019).

A mirror is a gateway between real and imaginary worlds. It is a comparison between eyes and gaze; outward appearance and inner reality; a movement between the act of seeing (reflecting) and understanding (making the spectators think). It reveals what is beyond the painting, expanding space and offering different perceptional possibilities to the observer.

More than 50 artists have been invited to Villa Caldogno (Italy) and to exhibitions at the Stara Zagora Art Gallery and Petko Zadgorski (Bulgaria) to exhibit a piece of their engraving art to an international public in order to compare visions, themes and their different techniques, and to witness how inspiration crosses time and space.

The exhibition is curated by Valeria Bertesina, project leader (also curator of Biennal Di Carta Papermade, International Paper Artfworks Biennal at Schio, Vicenza), and the Bulgarian exhibitions are curated by Vlado Goreski, (former curator of the Bitola Triennial) and Dimo Kolibarov (Deputy Director of National Academy of Arts - Bransh Burgas).
The Club for Unesco Vicenza and the Stara Zagora City Art Gallery in Stara Zagora, with the support of other and Institutions, primarily Qu.Bi Gallery in Vicenza and the Municipality of Caldogno Department of Culture are the organizational references, respectively for Italy and Bulgaria.
Mirror - Face to face project follows the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the promotion of diversity of cultural expressions and the 2005 Council of Europe Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society.
